Fork painted Thing 1 and Thing 2 The child stamps blue paint with a fork above a simple paper face and red body to make their own version of a Thing 1 and Thing 2 with wild hair Stamping **You need:** white paper, red paper, white paper circles, blue poster paint, fork, black marker, glue stick How to make it 1. You cut two red rectangles and two white circles. Your child glues the rectangles side by side on the lower half of the sheet. 2. Glue a white circle on top of each rectangle. 3. Draw two dot eyes and a smile on each circle with the marker. 4. Dip the back of the fork in blue paint. Your child stamps it above each head, fanning the marks up and out as wild hair. One fish two fish plate The child decorates a paper plate fishbowl and adds red and blue fish made from cupcake liners or sponge prints. Paint and glue **You need:** 1 white paper plate, light blue paint, 1 red cupcake liner, 1 blue cupcake liner, red and blue paper, 2 googly eyes, glue How to make it 1. Your child paints the whole plate light blue as water. Let it dry. 2. Press the cupcake liners flat. Glue them on the plate, well apart. 3. You cut a triangle in the matching colour and glue it on one side of each liner as a tail. 4. Glue 1 googly eye at the other end of each liner. You cut 2 wavy white egg shapes and outline them with the marker so they show up. Your child glues them on one half of the plate. 2. Your child paints one round green yolk in the middle of each egg. 3. Cut a rounded green ham shape and glue it on the other half. 4. Cut a small white circle and glue it in the middle of the ham as the bone. Glue them standing upright on the cardstock as tree trunks. 3. Your child glues a pom pom on top of each trunk. 4. Your child scribbles green crayon grass along the bottom. Red, blue and green paint, paper plates, a fork and a bag of pom poms cover the whole list. A three year old stamps with a fork, glues pom pom tufts and presses cupcake liner fish onto the plate. Cutting the tall hat, the red strips and the ham shape is your part; a five year old lines the stripes up.
