# 18 Halloween Crafts for Preschoolers (Easy Ideas)

18 Halloween crafts for preschoolers, each with a picture and simple steps. Easy ideas for ages 3 to 5 using paper, paint, and glue.

Black paint on orange paper, that is most of October. Here are 18 preschool Halloween crafts, each with a picture, supplies, and steps: pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, and bats.

Pumpkins come first, and the ghosts get made the week of the night itself. A three-year-old glues cotton balls onto a ghost outline. A five-year-old laces the paper plate spider web and gives the coffee filter monster every eye in the bag.

## Start here: three Halloween crafts that always work

## Halloween crafts for toddlers: the 3 a young three can do

Three of these a young three can do almost alone: [Painted mini pumpkin](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/halloween-crafts-for-preschoolers#c199), [Apple stamped pumpkins](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/halloween-crafts-for-preschoolers#c197), [Cotton ball ghost](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/halloween-crafts-for-preschoolers#c110). No exact cutting, no small pieces, and the glue stick does the rest. For the others, you cut and they glue.

## Doing Halloween crafts with a 3 year old

Black paint is the Halloween mess. Cover the table, paint the plate or tube black the day before, and do the gluing on dry pieces the next day.

A three year old can stamp apple pumpkins, glue cotton balls onto the ghost, paint a mini pumpkin and scrunch tissue for the tissue paper pumpkin. The handprint spider and footprint ghost need an adult on the paint, and the egg carton spider needs an adult to poke the pipe cleaner holes.

Make them in order through the month: painted pumpkins and apple stamped pumpkins in the first week, spiders and bats mid-month, ghosts in the last week when the house is being decorated.

Hang the paper cup bats and tissue ghosts from a string across the window. The paper roll ghost family stands on the porch table, and the spider web plate goes on the front door.
