You cut a big capital R from white paper and 6 strips in rainbow colours. 2. Your child glues the R upright on the blue sheet. 3. Toilet roll reindeer The child covers a tube in brown paper and adds pipe cleaner or handprint antlers, eyes and a red pom pom nose. **You need:** 1 toilet paper roll, brown paper, 2 brown pipe cleaners, 2 googly eyes, 1 red pom pom, glue How to make it 1. Wrap the roll in brown paper and glue it down. Your child can help hold it. 2. Bend a short side branch on each pipe cleaner. 3. Glue pipe cleaners on each side as antlers. 4. Stick the 2 eyes on the upper front and glue the red pom pom below them. Nothing matches that filter. Clear it and try again. ## Rainbows in order, reindeer and a rocket For the letter R rainbow, cut strips in six colors and lay them out in order on the table before gluing. Say r, r, rainbow as each strip goes on, and ask which color comes next. A three glues them in whatever order. A five keeps red on the outside. The paper plate rainbow is the open-ended one: half a plate, and each arc gets paint, tissue, buttons or pom poms, whatever is in the drawer. Cotton ball clouds glued at the two ends finish it.
