November is the month of brown paper, acorns in coat pockets, and a turkey made from a hand. Here are 18 November crafts for preschoolers, each with a picture, supplies, and steps.

A three-year-old tears brown paper for the torn paper acorn and presses a handprint turkey, fingers spread for the feathers. A five-year-old glues their name on the turkey name craft, one letter per feather, and decorates a placemat for their own seat. The thankful tree gets a new leaf each time a grandparent arrives.

## Start here: three November crafts that always work

## November crafts for 3 year olds

These 1 need no exact cutting and no small pieces, so a young three can do most of it alone: [Torn paper acorn](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/november-crafts-for-preschoolers#c002).

## Thanksgiving crafts with a 3 year old, by the week

First week, the thank you card for a veteran for November 11. Red, white and blue prints or star stickers on a folded card, and a three year old does it alone. Mail it or hand it to someone you know.

Middle of the month, the torn paper acorn, the leaf suncatcher and the acorn rolled squirrel painting. Collect acorns on a walk first, then use them in the box for the painting. Torn paper needs no scissors.

The week before Thanksgiving, the turkeys. The handprint turkey is one print and five colors on the fingers. The turkey name craft is for a four or five year old, one letter per feather, glued in order.

The Thanksgiving placemat and the thankful handprint tree go on the table on the day. Laminate the placemat or cover it in contact paper so it survives dinner, and add one handprint per guest to the tree.

## What you need for November crafts

Most of these use the same handful of supplies: glue, white paper, googly eye, black marker, brown paper, orange paper, white paper plate, brown poster paint. Everything else is named on the craft it belongs to.
