Easy ideas for ages 3 to 5 using paper, paint, and glue. [Kindergarten Prep Team](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/author/kindergarten-prep-team) Oct 17, 2026 --- Lincoln is a tall hat and a beard, and a paper plate can be both. Here are 6 Presidents' Day crafts for preschoolers, each with a picture, supplies, and steps: a paper-plate Lincoln, a craft-stick log cabin, and Uncle Sam with a cotton-ball beard. Classes make these in the third week of February. A three-year-old fork paints fireworks and glues cotton balls onto Uncle Sam's chin. A five-year-old lays craft sticks in rows for the log cabin and adds a door to complete the craft. ## Start here: three Presidents' Day crafts that always work [![Fork painted fireworks, an easy Presidents' Day craft for preschoolers ages 3 to 5](https://kindergarten-prep.com/hs-fs/hubfs/crafts/C087-1.webp?width=900&height=675&name=C087-1.webp)**Fork painted fireworks***A fork and bright paint, five minutes*](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/presidents-day-crafts-for-preschoolers#c087)[![Paper plate Uncle Sam, an easy Presidents' Day craft for preschoolers ages 3 to 5](https://kindergarten-prep.com/hs-fs/hubfs/crafts/C221-2.webp?width=900&height=675&name=C221-2.webp)**Paper plate Uncle Sam***Cotton ball beard, glue only*](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/presidents-day-crafts-for-preschoolers#c221)[![Paper plate Abraham Lincoln, an easy Presidents' Day craft for preschoolers ages 3 to 5](https://kindergarten-prep.com/hs-fs/hubfs/crafts/C150-2.webp?width=900&height=675&name=C150-2.webp)**Paper plate Abraham Lincoln***Lincoln's tall hat, the one they remember*](https://kindergarten-prep.com/blog/presidents-day-crafts-for-preschoolers#c150) All 6 Easy for 3 year olds No paint ## 6 Presidents' Day crafts for preschoolers, with pictures [![Paper plate flag, an easy Presidents' Day craft for preschoolers ages 3 to 5](https://kindergarten-prep.com/hs-fs/hubfs/crafts/C093-2.webp?width=900&height=675&name=C093-2.webp)](https://kindergarten-prep.com/hubfs/crafts/C093-2.webp) ### 1. No exact cutting, no small pieces, and the glue stick does the rest. ## Presidents' Day crafts with a 3 year old Paint the craft sticks the day before. Red and white for the flag, brown for the cabin, and let them dry on a paper towel. The next day it is only gluing. A three year old can fork paint, glue cotton balls on a beard and press star stickers on the plate flag. Gluing craft sticks in straight rows and cutting the tall hat for Lincoln need an adult. The log cabin is the counting craft. Count the sticks as they go on, row by row, and say which row is the longest. Lincoln and Uncle Sam go on the classroom wall. The flags are for the window or taped to a stick.
