Tracing is how a preschooler learns to steer a pencil. Straight lines first, then curves and zigzags, then letters, numbers and short words. Every themed pack below has a full set of tracing worksheets drawn with the same characters as the rest of the pack, so a child who loves dinosaurs traces dinosaur lines and a child who loves the ocean traces fish.
Pencil control and pre-writing

The first tracing page in every pack: horizontal, vertical and diagonal dotted lines, each with a start dot and a tiny story. The sled dog runs home to the igloo, the seal pops up through the hole in the ice. The story gives the line a direction, which is the whole point. Tracing lines come before tracing letters, always.
Each pack has four to six letter tracing worksheets. The letters come from the pack's own words, P for pig, T for tractor, so each one means something to the child. A row of big letters, a row of small ones, then the letter inside a real word with its picture. Tracing letters this way teaches the shape and the sound together.
Two pages per pack show every letter from A to Z, big and small, once each, on a three-line guide. It is a reference page, not a drill: a place to find the letters of your child's name and trace just those.
On the count and trace page your child counts a box of pictures and traces the number, from 1 to 10. Tracing numbers right after counting real things is what makes the numeral stick. Two-digit numbers are traced at full size, so 10 looks like 10.
Four short words from the pack in dotted capitals, each with its picture and an empty line to write the word once more without help. That first unassisted word is a milestone worth keeping.
A child's own name is the most motivating word there is, and usually the first one they learn to write.
