These fit a weather week, a rainy afternoon, or the letter R. A three-year-old tears paper for the rainbow and dabs arcs with a pom-pom in a clothespin. Your child dabs paint with the pom pom to make 5 rough arches, one inside the other: red outside, then orange, yellow, green, blue. 2. Let it dry. 3. Glue cotton balls at each foot of the rainbow as clouds. Nothing matches that filter. The child then copies the tray instead of asking which comes next. A three can do the torn paper rainbow, the pom pom dabbed rainbow and the paper plate sun on their own with glue and a dab. Cutting a plate in half and the windsock are adult jobs. Make the sun on a sunny day and the umbrella on a rainy one, and look out the window first. The windsock goes outside as soon as it dries. The letter R rainbow is the one for the R sound. The rest go on a window in a row, sun, cloud, rain, rainbow, and tell the week's weather. ## What you need for weather crafts Most of these use the same handful of supplies: cotton ball, glue, glue stick, white paper, paper plate, red, orange, yellow, green and blue paint, white paper plate, yellow poster paint.
