Terms of Service
Effective September 5, 2026. Replaces all earlier versions.
The short version
- These terms cover kindergarten-prep.com, the Kindy app and landing page, our printable bundles and our free content. They are a contract between you and Curriculums OÜ, an Estonian company.
- Kindy is $9.99 a month, plus $4.99 a month for each additional child, billed monthly and renewing until you cancel. Cancel any time in the app; you keep access until the end of the month you paid for. There are no refunds for time already paid.
- Printable bundles are digital downloads sold under a personal or classroom licence and are not refundable once delivered.
- The readiness assessment and Kindy's curriculum are educational tools for parents. They are not a medical, psychological or educational diagnosis, and no result guarantees a school outcome.
- You are responsible for supervising your child during activities.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
The Services are provided by Curriculums OÜ (registry code 12834041), Tobiase tn 13a, Käina alevik, 92101 Hiiumaa vald, Hiiu maakond, Estonia ("we", "us"). Email: support@kindergarten-prep.com.
2. What these terms cover
"Services" means kindergarten-prep.com and its free content, the Kindy app at app.kindergarten-prep.com, the Kindy landing page at kindy.kindergarten-prep.com, the free kindergarten readiness assessment, the Kindy subscription, and our digital printable bundles ("Printables"). By using any of them you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, which form part of these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
3. Who may use the Services
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract. The Services are for parents, guardians and educators. Children do not use Kindy; the app is for you, and the activities happen between you and your child away from the screen.
4. Your account
You need an account to take the readiness assessment and to use Kindy. Keep your login details private and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information about yourself and your child; Kindy's curriculum is only as good as the answers it is built on. One account is for one household; you may add more than one child to it.
5. The free readiness assessment
The assessment is free and does not require a payment card. Your child's results, strengths and focus areas stay in your account whether or not you subscribe. The assessment is an informational tool based on your own observations of your child. It is not a test administered to your child, not a professional developmental screening, and not a substitute for advice from your child's teacher, pediatrician or other professional. If you have concerns about your child's development, please speak to a professional.
6. The Kindy subscription
6.1 What you get
A personalised preschool curriculum for the child or children on your account: one daily activity chosen from your child's readiness picture and your ratings, a progress dashboard, the ability to swap activities or log your own, and any printables or videos attached to activities. We improve Kindy continuously and may change, add or retire features and activities.
6.2 Price and billing
Kindy costs USD 9.99 per month for the first child and USD 4.99 per month for each additional child on the same account, plus any taxes we are required to charge. Payment is taken by Stripe when you subscribe and then automatically on the same day each month until you cancel. Prices are shown in US dollars; your bank may apply conversion charges. If a payment fails we will tell you and retry; if it keeps failing we may suspend access until it is settled.
6.3 Cancelling
You can cancel at any time in the app, with one tap, with no need to contact us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; you keep full access until then and are not charged again. Your child's readiness results and progress history remain in your account after cancellation. We do not refund or prorate any part of a paid period. See the Refund Policy for the few exceptions and for the rights of consumers in the EU.
6.4 Price changes
If we change the subscription price we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect.
7. Printables
7.1 Delivery
Printables are digital files delivered by download link after payment. If a link does not work, email us and we will make sure you receive your files.
7.2 Personal Use Licence
Unless you buy a Classroom Licence, Printables are sold under a Personal Use Licence: a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to print and use the materials for your own household, including younger siblings later, and to store the files on your own devices or private cloud storage. You may not share, sell, give away or upload the files or printed copies to anyone outside your household, post them in groups or on file-sharing sites, modify them to create new products, or present them as your own work.
7.3 Classroom Licence
A Classroom Licence lets one teacher, preschool or childcare provider print and use the materials with the children in one classroom or group, and store the files on that teacher's own devices. It does not allow sharing the files with other teachers, classrooms, schools or parents, uploading them to shared drives or online platforms, or reselling or rebranding them. Each classroom needs its own licence.
7.4 Free letter activities and other free content
Our free letter activity pages and other free content on kindergarten-prep.com may be used at home or in your own classroom. You may link to them freely. You may not copy them onto other websites or sell them.
8. Using the Services responsibly
You agree not to copy, scrape, resell or reverse-engineer the Services or the curriculum; not to share your account; not to upload anything unlawful, harmful or infringing; and not to interfere with the Services or other users. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
9. Safety and your responsibility as a parent
Kindy's activities are designed for a parent and child to do together using ordinary household items. Some activities involve scissors, small objects, food, water or outdoor play. You know your child; you decide what is suitable, you supervise, and you are responsible for your child's safety during every activity. Nothing in the Services replaces your judgement.
10. Educational nature of the Services; no guarantees
Kindy and the assessment are based on published developmental milestones and early-learning research and are built by early childhood specialists, but every child is different. We do not promise that your child will reach any particular skill, score or school outcome, and we do not provide medical, psychological, therapeutic or educational diagnosis. Kindergarten entry requirements are set by schools and local authorities, not by us.
11. Intellectual property
The Services, the curriculum, the assessment, the activities, the Printables, our text, designs and trademarks belong to Curriculums OÜ or our licensors. You receive only the limited rights described in these terms. When you add your own activities or send us feedback, you keep ownership of what you wrote and give us a free, worldwide licence to use it to operate and improve the Services; feedback may be used without obligation to you.
12. Other companies' products
Our comparison pages describe other companies' products using facts checked on the date shown on each page, with sources. Those products, their names and trademarks belong to their owners, who are not connected with us. If you represent one of those companies and find something out of date, email us and we will correct it. We are not responsible for third-party websites we link to.
13. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Services available at all times but cannot promise they will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or because of events outside our control. We may change these terms; when we do, we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the new terms. If you do not, cancel before they take effect.
14. Ending the relationship
You may stop using the Services and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the Services, in which case we will refund any prepaid period we can no longer provide. Sections 7, 11, 15 and 16 survive termination.
15. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the Services are provided as they are, and our total liability to you for all claims arising from the Services in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the mandatory consumer protection law of the country where you live.
16. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Estonia, or, if you are a consumer in the EU, in the courts of your home country if you prefer. Consumers in the EU may also use the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon, komisjon.ee) or the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Before any of that, please write to us; most problems are solved with one email.
